ARISTOPHANES Shares New Single Featuring GRIMES

Aristophanes releases new single 人為機器 Humans Become Machines.

The Taipei artist, Aristophanes (real name Pan Wei Ju) appeared on our radar after her terrifyingly amazing effort at Grimes’ single Scream of her critically acclaimed album, Art Angles. Her artistic delivery, astonishing wordplay and unique style overcome the language barriers and her newest single, Humans Become Machines is just as striking.

人為機器 or Humans Become Machines, is based around Aristophanes’ significant lyrical delivery, combining rap-like structure with freakiness to achieve her idiosyncratic sound. With a futuristic and forward thinking production, Humans Become Machines is an incredibly interesting tune. The sludgy electronic backdrop combined with taunting backup vocals in the courtesy of Grimes, Aristophanes has made an refreshingly different, artistic and outstanding tune that makes us lust for more.

New single is in a way a continuation of Aristophanes and Grimes collaboration as Grimes both produced and featured the additional vocals on the track. Their mutual effort has so far given hauntingly terrifying and amazing tunes, and hopefully they will keep up the fruitful alliance.

Humans Becomes Machines is taken from Aristophanes forthcoming mixtape, due for release on 24th February on Big Picnic Records.

The artist is about to play a couple of shows across Australia and Europe starting next month.
