TWIN PEAKS Share Video for ‘Wanted You’

The Chicago outfit unveils new video for striking single Wanted You, from their 2016 album Down In Heaven.

Directed by Ezra Ewen, the video does in many ways incarnate what Twin Peaks are. It’s a bit random, a bit ramshackle, slightly trashy and still has an inventive sense of quality and creative flow throughout. According to the band, the video is more about creating a mood than an attempt at any specific narrative. Featuring road scenes and bar scenes mashed up with clips of the band both in real life and on stage, the video will definitely make you smile. So in many ways it is a contrast to the bleaker lyrics and slight heartache that the tune itself conveys.

Singer and guitarist Clay Frankel states that:

We had a list of a few things when we started; snow, old car, candles, paint, coats, chess, animal masks. Most of it was things we had lying around. We improvised it and then we played with the editing, using reverse footage, to give it a cycle, so it ends where it begins.

The band also recently released a live record, Urbs in Horto, which will be out on double vinyl the 5th of May via Communion.

Twin Peaks are currently out on a US tour with Hinds but they’ll be coming back to the UK when festival season begins. Catch them at the following dates:
