LUKE SITAL-SINGH Shares New Video for ‘Hunger’
Unveiling the second single of his forthcoming album, Time Is A Riddle, Luke Sital-Singh lays all emotions out.
Hunger soars in the typical manner of a singer songwriter tune. With a swooning melodic landscape, it relies heavily on the lyrical impact. Acoustic guitar and undefinable swaying is a basic but effective approach. Luckily, Luke brings on some percussion and choir on the chorus, giving a needed depth to the track. Though he is to some extent inventive in his approach, his strength definitely lies in the poetical twists in the lyrics. With the bare minimum of musical exploration, the lyrical depth still carries the track, letting it be a content listening experience.
The single was released alongside a video, neatly filmed in the kitchen of Luke’s Bristol flat.
Speaking about the video, Luke says:
We made the ‘Hunger’ video in my kitchen using an old super 8 camera. We knew that with the lighting and the super 8 it would look cool, but I’d never shot a video using film before and not being able to watch the footage back as we shot was unnerving but also a little liberating. It felt satisfying to make something the old fashioned way.
New album, Time Is A Riddle is set for release on May 12th via Raygun Records/Red Essential.
