With the very telling name, Someone, Dutch artist Tessa Rose Jackson debuts her new project with soaring single, The Deep.

The brooding tune carries on Jackson’s singer songwriter style into a more modern soundscape. With a mesmerising vocal presentation, Someone draws on a nostalgic pop nature. The lyrics delve into a dreaming solitude, capturing a nerve midst the most swooning of melodic moves.

The Deep is also the title track of Someone’s recent EP, and if you, like me, are still caught up in the odd choice of artist’s name, Someone explains that too.

I wanted a name that meant: Don’t worry who I am. Just check out what I make. I make a lot. Some you may like, some you may not. But I’ll like it. And you know what, I’m someone too.
