IFFY ORBIT Unveil New Track ‘Night//Day’

Norwegian collective also shares new visuals for their previous single Slow Times.

With their debut brooding in the distance, Iffy Orbit share another teaser from the forthcoming release.

Their latest offering, Night//Day plays on a bouncy spectre of influences, swooning with a pop-esque foundation through the indie hooks and funky allusions. The boys seem to grow more ballsy with their melodic moves, yet the core of dazed groundwork and glittering guitar work stay firmly set within Iffy Orbit’s elaborate soundscape.

The Sandvika outfit also shares a video for previous single, Slow Times, set to a very relatable and gorgeously awkward school prom setting. Giving anyone a flashback to their less cool days when school proms were just as much social torture as fun, the flashback is highly intentional.

We wanted a live action video with a set plot, so we got in touch with our good friend Petter Holmsen, one of Norway’s most talented directors. When he heard ‘Slow Times’ he immediately thought back to 10th grade prom (age 15). It’s always in an ugly setting, it’s winter and minus 20. The suits are too big and the girls wears very busty dresses, and the cool kids sneak liquor of their dads. It’s any Norwegian’s dorky first step into adulthood, and that’s amongst the themes for our debut.
