ADAM FRENCH Unveils Visuals for ‘You From The Rest’
Adam French, one of this generation’s most honest and powerful musicians, releases a new track, You From The Rest.
You From The Rest is taken from his third EP of the same name, which is due for release any day now.
Adam French harbours such an unsuspecting talent. At a glance he may come across as another singer songwriter with a guitar, but his music is grounded in so much personal emotion, it is hard to ignore when it pops up on a playlist, and You From The Rest is no exception.
French explains:
‘You From The Rest’ is a song I’ve wanted to write for quite a while. It’s about the emotional benefit of removing toxic people from your life, and starting to fully appreciate those who bring positivity, love and fulfilment to it… our time here is short, I think it’s always important to remember that.
It’s quite a brutal and honest song and the accompanying video is equally uncomfortable viewing. It follows the lives of strangers on the streets of London who are toxic, who bring pain and suffering upon others. All their pain and anger gets unleashed and documented on film, it ain’t pretty.
French’s husky melancholy vocals are uncontainable as the track progresses. The instruments also become more layered and intense, with a few simple opening guitar chords and gentle percussion before the weight of the full band comes into play with strings, electric guitar and that gentle percussion is now crashing in. You From The Rest is put simply a tragically, beautiful and honest song.
Adam French has been on my list of artists to see live for quite some time, so I won’t be missing his upcoming tour.
