Backstage: Live At Leeds 2018
Kicking off the festival season, Live At Leeds showcased an incredible variety of this year’s line-up.
With a desire to capture some unique behind the scenes moments using a film camera, we joined a few of our favourite bands backstage. Check out the full photo diary below.
We caught up with ALASKALASKA after their set at the DIY NEU Stage at Live At Leeds. Their self-titled debut EP rocketed them onto our radar last year and their newer single Meateater is a must-listen.
Full of the charm and energy of British youth, White Room’s set was a favourite at this year’s fest. The group made some time to hang with us after the show for some laid-back pics.
These two crazy boys made time for us at Live At Leeds before jetting off to another festival in Liverpool. Their new album Smell Smoke is full of bangers and was a joy to hear in the intimate Lending Room venue.
Peakes brought the local power to Live At Leeds. Their first headlining show and single launch at the Brudenell Social Club sold out earlier this year, catapulting them onto the national radar. We snuck a few shots in the alleyway behind Oporto before their set on the BBC Music Introducing stage.
Last but not least, our favourite Aussies Hockey Dad posed for a few pics post show at the Leeds Beckett Student Union. Their rambunctious stage presence and killer tunes landed them a spot on our Top 3 list for the festival.
