BLACK PEAKS Release New Single ‘Electric Fires’

Black Peaks launch new single Electric Fires, taken off their forthcoming sophomore album, All That Divides.

The Brighton quartet Black Peaks bring in a psychedelic twist to their massive rock sound in their latest single Electric Fires.

There’s still the titanic riffs that have come to be expected from the band, as a heavy bass provides a thundering sound that will tear through the texture. There’s a dazzling instrumental section as we pass the halfway mark, as guitars and drums freely wander without a strict sense of rhythm. It’s a fantastic wall of sound, as toms roll around and cymbals fall and crash around you. We’re soon brought back from this colourful world of sound, as a steadily beating drum grows and the vocals climax alongside, culminating in a shattering ending of unrestrained drums and harsh vocals.

Speaking about the single, vocalist Will Gardner says:

‘Electric Fires’ was one of the first songs we wrote for All That Divides, and was one that had a few live outings towards the end of the Status album tour. The song, in many ways, is one of our most straight-forward. Lyrically, the song is a bit of a sarcastic comment on the beliefs of certain conspiracy theorists, Flat-earthers etc. Essentially, we just had fun with that idea, and wrote a song about how our alien forefathers came here from Mars at the dawn of civilisation to build the pyramids which, of course, 100% totally happened. Stay woke, kids.

All That Divides is set for release on October 5th via Rise Records/BMG.
