HELLOGOODBYE Reveal Intimate Visuals for ‘Close’
In a series of stunning scenes, Hellogoodbye explore the meanings of Close.
Hellogoodbye have unveiled the video for Close, taken off their upcoming album S’Only Natural which is set to be released on October 5th.
A delicately balanced ballad, the poignant lyricisim settles between swathes of tranquil electronics and tender vocals. Raw honesty connects the listener to the music, and the exposed emotions wash over you with the soft soundscape. The video reflects on intimacy as simplistic visuals capture the beauty of the track. Beginning with two people approaching each other in a stunning landscape, close up shots of human bodies and nature create the closeness that the track sings of. The video conveys the proximity through shots of bodies and people in a series of intimate positions.
Frontman Forrest Kline explains:
There is this placeless place. Two human bodies in tune, every advance anticipated, every retreat beckoning. I wanted for so long to bottle it up so I could go back there whenever I wanted.
It took ages, it was the first song that I started for this record and nearly the last one I finished, but through a true labor of love I did that for myself, and I for one will treasure it forever.
