Ahead of the headline tour kicking off in mid-November, Brighton quartet As It Is add to their recent intense aura with a brand new video for The Reaper.

Taken from their third full-length record The Great Depression, released earlier this year, The Reaper features guest vocals from Underoath’s Aaron Gillespie.

The video takes a dark approach, much like the group’s recent musical direction, particularly in much of The Great Depression. With the addition of creepy lighting and harsh shadows, this new As It Is could easily be the love child of In This Moment and My Chemical Romance – and that’s a compliment.

Guitarist and vocalist Ben Langford-Biss spoke on the topic of the band’s musical direction:

Both the song and the video are so different to anything we’ve done before, and we’re so fortunate that our fans have embraced the darker and heavier side of our band & our constant desire to progress in new directions.

They will be showing off The Great Depression in all its dark glory starting in Japan and then onto Europe and the UK to perform at their biggest headliner to date at London’s Forum.
