IDER Share Visuals for New Single ‘Mirror’
London-based duo IDER head out on the journey of self-discovery in new single, Mirror.
Delving into themes of self-identity and female empowerment, IDER send a powerful message in their breakup anthem, Mirror.
Driven by vivid introspection, they combine graceful dual vocal harmonies with delicate guitar licks and pulsating beats to create yet another dreamy pop track. With raw emotions piercing through, it is a triumphant tale about finding strength in vulnerability and coming to terms that “sometimes people are shit”.
Depicting the duo examining themselves in the mirror and expressing their feelings through dance choreography, the accompanying visuals capture the intimate nature of the track perfectly. The video was shot by Lily Rose Thomas on Bromley High Street and produced by Aleksandra Bilic.
IDER explain:
It’s the journey of self discovery as you learn to come back to yourself, and the acceptance that sometimes people are shit. But in the end, we will be ok. We wanted to create a video for ‘Mirror’ that reflected the honesty, vulnerability and power of the song. We worked with director Lily Rose Thomas, who brought to life the concept of sisterhood and female empowerment, which is at the heart of ‘Mirror’, and us as a duo it was important to us that we challenged ourselves and were pushed out of our comfort zone, which we achieved with the help of choreographer Anna Engerström, who developed the movement from the emotion of the song and our instinctual performance.
