BOSTON MANOR Release Video for New Single ‘Liquid’ feat. John Floreani
Following the release of their sophomore album Welcome To The Neighbourhood, the Blackpool band are back with another dark anthem in the form of Liquid.
Blackpool quintet Boston Manor have shared their first new material since their sophomore album in 2018, and Liquid continues in the same musical direction that was hinted at in Welcome To The Neighbourhood. Featuring John Floreani from Trophy Eyes, it’s no surprise that the track holds nothing back in terms of brooding intensity but that still doesn’t lessen the hard-hitting impact of the track.
Dark and forlorn, Liquid takes inspiration from the different versions of our selves that exist in the consciousness of other people. Exploring the way we re-shape our identity to fit how others perceive us, gloomy electronics and wailing guitars set the accompaniment to the urgent vocals of Henry Cox as he laments ‘I don’t know who I’m supposed to be’. Haunting instrumentals lay the foundation for this darkly-shaded anthem, and the massive chorus charges through with its searing emotions.
The trippy visuals for the track play upon the idea of identity being explored, as two figures clad in all white and balaclavas take over a sprawling urban landscape.
Alongside the release of Liquid, the band has also released a reimagined and stripped back version of Halo, and announced an upcoming headline tour. Go catch the band live on one of the following dates.
