DECAY Tease New Single ‘New Again’
Thrumming with emotion, Decay hint at a poignant debut EP with their latest single New Again.
If you’re somehow still not familiar with the ever-expanding Liverpool music scene, then Decay are another band that are sure to be heavyweights and pioneers of the scene. A new project born from former pop-punk outfit Pine, the former influences can be picked up alongside hard-hitting lyricism and a bravery of facing your innermost emotions. Blistering riffs sear with unbridled emotion whilst the vocals are choked full of feelings, all hurtled forward by an uncontainable aggression.
Speaking of the track, vocalist Daniel Reposar explains:
This is a complete re-record of the first single we put out with Fox Records—we felt the production of the original really didn’t do the song justice.
‘New Again’ is technically a love song, however, it’s not about a person—it’s more about the feeling of finding someone new after going through a lot of heartbreak and bitterness. The line ‘you planted flowers in my skin’ is a nod at learning to trust someone and starting to ‘grow’ again. At its simplest level it’s a song about personal growth and learning to trust others around me.
The single is lifted off the band’s forthcoming debut EP Modern Conversation, which will be released on 5th July via Fox Records. You can catch the band at their upcoming live dates.
