After two years since the release of their last material, Polaris have made a triumphant return with their brand new single titled Masochist.

Masochist is the first single from Polaris‘ upcoming sophomore album, THE DEATH OF ME, out February 21st via Resist/Sharptone.

The track is a blend of blisteringly heavy verses and lighter choruses creating an interesting, varied dynamic. The guitar has hints of melodic tones whilst the vocals depict the fury and frenzy the artist is feeling towards his work in the music video.

Drummer Daniel Furnari commented:

We worked with Ed Reiss on this clip, who’s worked on some of our favourite clips from other Australian bands, and together we developed this concept of a painter who, forever dissatisfied with his work, finds he gets more enjoyment from destroying his own creations than from making them.
