PEACH PIT Release New Single ‘Feelin’ Low (F*ckboy Blues)’
The Vancouver quartet, Peach Pit have released their new track Feeling Low, marking their first new music since 2017.
Following their debut album Being So Normal, released in 2017, Feelin’ Low is the first taste of Peach Pit‘s impending sophomore effort, due out next year.
From the first bar, the track kicks off with raw guitar melded with Neil Smith’s captivating vocals, complemented with an addictive drumbeat and baseline. In addition to the single, the band has shared a music video directed by their long-serving collaborator Lester Lyons-Hookham.
Revealing where the inspiration came from, Neil sums up the video perfectly:
Last year our friends threw a wrestling-themed surprise party for our bud Daniel’s birthday – I can’t remember exactly why, but I was feeling really down about something so I decided not to go. The video for ‘Feelin’ Low’ was inspired by that party and really conveys the experience of being surrounded by lots of people yet still feeling seemingly alone.
