South-east London outfit SCORS have returned to the scene after a brief hiatus with glittering new single E The Real You. It’s one of those tracks that you didn’t know you needed until you heard it, and now there is no removing your dependency upon its hazy guitars and silky vocals. The hypnotic repetition of the accompaniment immediately draws you into a familiar embrace and warm affinity, before the alluring words of the track trickle through your ear like honey. But despite the seemingly dreamy exterior of the track, do not be lulled into a false sense of security as the lyricism touches upon some of the less-pretty sides of reality that we are all inevitably confronted with at some point in our lives.
