MISS VINCENT Reveal Video for ‘Cold Hands’

South coast band announces new EP, Somewhere Else, out later this month.

Miss Vincent have unveiled new track, Cold Hands, taken from their forthcoming sophomore EP, Somewhere Else, which will be released on May 19th via Uncle M.

Just as the first single The Lovers, new offering encapsulates that melodic raw essence punk music thrives in. Cold Hands radiates confidence in tempo shifting, intertwining the infinite guitars and resilient drumbeats. The fast-paced chorus, enhanced by punchy vocal harmonies, carries the emotional charge so effortlessly, letting the lyrics unravel the darker side.

The accompanying visuals rely on minimalistic vintage aesthetics but with added personal and symbolic imagery. Vocalist Alex Marshall explains:

This video was a lot of fun to make. The whole thing is shot from one static angle, which is a nod to The Ramones’ I Wanna Be Sedated video and older styles of film making. We found this amazing place that looked like it hadn’t been touched since the 50s, with a really cool vintage vibe to it, and we changed almost nothing about the room to film in it. The song is about the almost addictive nature of sadness, how it can become a habit rather than a reaction, and we wanted to translate that as succinctly as possible into the video. We wanted to get across that feeling of being stuck in a rut, but also the ways to get out of it. We stuck a load of references to our favourite things too – from films like Forrest Gump, The Room, The Shining, (and even Spinal Tap), to books and graphic novels. Oh, and my cat Vincent is in it, and he totally steals the show.

Miss Vincent are yet to announce the fuller headline tour, but you can catch them at the following dates in support of Somewhere Else:
