PLEASURE HOUSE Release New Single ‘Mind Control’
The B-town quartet unveils Mind Control, the second cut of their forthcoming EP, Sentient.

Picking up the swooning vibes of the Midlands scene, Mind Control still phantoms a rougher sound than what’s known from previous champs of that area. The pulsing beat, bouncy hooks and snarling riffs come together as a fun and energising tune. It’s interesting hearing a lash out against ‘the establishment’ in a more polished sense than your regular punk track. Pleasure House sparkly indie track also takes a very timely turn in the light of the forthcoming general election, and the dodgy political climate in the world.
As frontman Alex Heffernan states:
The system is broken and we’re all being lied to. ‘Mind Control’ is happening all around us and we wouldn’t even know. The media controls the masses, the leaders control the media, and we’re left scurrying around like little ants trying to choose a colour that seems less evil than the other. We wrote this song amongst the storm of Brexit and Trump, way before a general election had been called, and now I think it’s even more relevant. Register to vote, try to save the NHS and don’t let the TV dictate your decisions.
Sentient EP out May 26th.
