Scandi-popstar Astrid S unveils the neon-lit dream of a video to accompany her latest single Such A Boy.

The sleek pop tune is self-explanatory by the title, a messy love affair, with a bouncy hook to catch the ear. There will always be complications in romance and thank god for that, it sure has gifted us many tunes on the theme. Such A Boy still offers a refreshing narrative on the subject and with a dazzling confidence, Astrid S seems unstoppable.

The video, directed by Andreas Öhman, plays out the lyrical content of the song, starring Herman Tømmeraas, known from international success series SKAM, in the role as love interest. Playing out all those moments from make out to freak out, the beautiful cinematography works as a backdrop for the tumultuous relationship showcased.

The artist herself explains that:

It was incredibly fun to work with the same people as I did on the music video for ‘Hurts So Good’. Herman and I had a lot of fun shooting the video and I’m very glad he said yes to be a part of it. I feel that we got the message in the lyrics across and I am very happy with the result!

The play with light and the vibrant complimentary contrasts in the colour scheme is enough to make even the master of the art, Nicolas Winding Refn, approve. This, alongside a slight sexual tension and a kick ass pop tune should be reason enough to take a look.
