The band’s sophomore album, Antisocialites, to be released in September.

In Undertow is the first new music from Alvvays since the release of their much loved self-titled debut album in 2014.

As the first single from the band’s forthcoming record Antisocialites, In Undertow veers around a subtle psych daze, extracting the hypnotic elements easily. Analog visuals build on the unearthly aesthetics that masterfully align with melodic vocals and the track’s refined textures. Singer Molly Rankin says of the video:

I’m aware of my own drowning fixation and fascinated by that bizarre lunar-tidal relationship. We’ve already filled our water video quota. Space is a trippier ocean. It’s as aquacosmic psych meets public access TV.

Antisocialites is due out September 8th via Transgressive Records.

Alvvays also announced a world tour including a release day show at London’s KOKO.
