ESTRONS Unveil New Cut ‘Cold Wash’
The Welsh alt-rockers release new tune, Cold Wash as they’re embarking on their UK headline tour.
The first that hits you is that Cold Wash is an anthem of aggression. With bursting, hammering guitars, and Taliesyn Kallstrom snarling vocals, Cold Wash is a definite slap in the face. Embodying a resenting anger and pure force, the hard edged melody loops around the lyrics, underlining every ballsy line and spiteful turn. As a song, it’s a demonstration of power, and though it can feel slightly over the top at times, Cold Wash has its moments of sublime presentation.
Frontwoman Taliesyn Kallstrom says:
‘Cold Wash’ is about trying to clean someone out of your life that just doesn’t want to go. They want destruction, they want conflict and they won’t go without a fight. The lyrics are written from two perspectives, the one pushing and the one holding on, which is why it comes across as capricious. I think sometimes people can have too much empathy so we allow too much bad behaviour to happen in our lives. It’s is about the struggle to break free from other people’s bad habits but most importantly our own and making it so it sticks.
