KAGOULE Share Animated Visuals for ‘Monsieur Automaton’
The Nottingham trio unveils the video for their latest single, Monsieur Automaton and it’s both pretty and slightly freaky.

The bass-heavy alt-rock anthem evolves with a playful ease, driven by rolls of palpable drums. The slapping bass-line stands in stark contrast to the more melodic turns of the vocal track. The driven soundscape and low-key lyrics come together in a kind of delirious staccato that mesmerises in its odd tweaks and turns.
The newly released video mirrors this frantic vibe with absurd animations. As of storyline it’s beyond time and space, with a lead character floating around in this other-worldly, dreamlike, existence.
Singer Cai Burns says:
Lawrence has always done the artwork for the band. It’s as much a part of Kagoule as the music, so it totally made sense to try and get it into a music video. He drew like a million drawings, wrote some whacky ass storyline (which I still don’t really understand) and then we realised that animation is HARD so we hit up an old bro of ours Adam Black to bring it to life.
