WEEZER Drop Exquisite New Tune ‘Weekend Woman’

The LA outfit to release their eleventh studio album, Pacific Daydream, this month.

With their new record Pacific Daydream out in a few weeks, Weezer deliver yet another lavish tune.

Sun-soaked in retro-tinged melody, Weekend Woman is a tasteful offering from the Cali band. Having balanaced the reflective tone with euphonious rhythmics, they make it feel like summer never left.

Frontman Rivers Cuomo says that a Chinese proverb inspired the design behind the entire record. Well, it sounds pretty promising:

Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.

Pacific Daydream due out on October 27th via Crush Music/Atlantic Records.

Produced by Butch Walker, Pacific Daydream is the follow up to the critically acclaimed album Weezer (The White Album), which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album at the end of last year. It hits stores while the band are in the midst of their UK tour. See the dates below.
