It’s for real this time as the duo unveils the first cut, and title track, of forthcoming Little Dark Age.

It is not a secret that I am dead excited about MGMT. Many have suffered the constant inbox torture as the band unveiled one obscure tip after another, all hinting towards their forthcoming fourth studio release.

Well, now, the day has finally come as we’re blessed with Little Dark Age, a track following the deliciously saturated path that MGMT have hinted towards. With stern, shifting drum machine beat and Andrew VanWyngarden’s harrowing vocal track all wrapped in a concoction of 80’s synth, the song is entirely new in it’s own right, and yet, it is so MGMT.

Little Dark Age was released alongside some avant-garde gothic visuals. The picturesque, dark and twisted video goes entirely along the lines of the lyrical thematic and dystopian nature of the tune.
