THE 1975 New Song Review // “Somebody Else”
The 1975 have shared the fourth track Somebody Else to be taken from their highly anticipated sophomore album.
One week to go. And I think I might have found the one.
The track Somebody Else is definitely something different from previous releases The Sound, UGH! and Love Me. Emotionally charged, the song displays deep lyricism having delivered smooth layers and electronic vibes. I would say that’s a new from this band. I mean, you probably noticed that The 1975 like a little bit of showing off. But this gentle approach sees them taking a step further. I’ve got a feeling that their second record will be so varied that I don’t think we’re actually ready for what is coming.

Matty Healy, the frontman of The 1975, has explained the significant meaning of this next album to NME.
I’m challenging people to sit through an hour and 15 minutes and 17 songs that all sound completely different from each other. It’s quite an emotional investment. It’s art. It’s what I want to do. The world needs this album.
