THE 1975 New Music Video // “The Sound”
THE 1975 have shared the music video for the song The Sound.
The massive 17-track album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It is finally out! I must admit it sounds HUGE! But I’m still making my mind about it so I’m not rushing with the review.
Anyway, I went to see The 1975 play a show for BBC Radio 1 Presents on Monday so I figured I could drop this short post about their latest music video. It fits my mood perfectly.
And indeed, it is..
Following the recent releases Somebody Else, UGH! and Love Me this particular track is a proper pop banger. All those synths, strings and oh that guitar solo! Must say, The Sound being played live is very impressive.
The 1975 are one of those bands who care about aesthetic aspect very much. The self-titled era was all about black and white whereas now there’s a lot of pink. Like really, really A LOT of pink. And glitter. Fab.
The clip sees the four-piece trapped (?), locked (?) in a box. Or being there voluntary (?) or on purpose perhaps (?) while they deal with the criticism. It’s brilliant. I totally love the entire idea behind this music video. I chose some of the best bits so have a look and watch the video below.
TERRIBLE HIGH-PITCHED VOCALS OVER SOULLESS ROBO BEATS
…THEY ARE MISTAKEN
POMPOUS ARENA SYNTH-POP
BORING RECYCLED WANNABES
TRYING TOO HARD
The last one is my favourite.
The second record I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It was released on Feb 26 and the tour starts now! Go and see them! Believe me, you do want to see some of Matty Healy’s dancing moves.
