SEA GIRLS Implore You to ‘Open Up Your Head’
2019 is set to be huge for Sea Girls, judging by their first single this year.

Sea Girls have been gaining a huge traction in 2018, and that only looks set to continue in 2019 as they release their newest single Open Up Your Head. Displaying again their knack for writing irresistible indie-rock tunes, it’s sure to be a belter when festival season swings around.
A dynamic opening sees a staccato accompaniment leaping around underneath Henry Camamile’s heartfelt vocals. It doesn’t take long before the texture builds as instruments gradually join, and it grows into an utterly infectious and bombastic chorus that is sure to be stuck in your head for days. Lyrically, it portrays the mental tug-of-war when you’re feeling uncertain but there’s someone else believing in you, and leaves you on an encouraging note to ‘open up your head’ and let someone guide you out of your self-doubt.
Speaking about the track, Henry says:
Open Up Your Head is about being your own worst enemy but having someone believing in you unconditionally. Some people struggle with self-esteem, some people party too hard, and some people feel stuck from making wrong choices. It can be crucial having someone who offers a hand out of those places we don’t want to remain in.
