BUZZARD BUZZARD BUZZARD Reveal Video for ‘Hollywood Actors’
With its robust instrumentation and infectious vocals, Hollywood Actors is further proof that Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard were born a generation too late.

The glam rock aesthetic and sound of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard’s latest single, Hollywood Actors, hit all the nostalgia buttons while targeting a very modern audience. Like any good glam rock song, there’s even a sexy guitar-focused bridge-conclusion that has all the energy of a good show outro. With a resounding chorus that says “Hollywood actors with faces and smiles / Hollywood actors for miles and miles / Hollywood actors they don’t care what they say / Well look out you actors, I’ll see you one day” Hollywood Actors is an inspirational anthem that encourages everyone to live openly and honestly.
The music video references many of pop culture’s film icons like Jack and Rose from Titanic, Cher from Clueless, Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad and Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, making it a fun watch. Interestingly, like many of their other videos, the band has included a thematic epigraph. “Ochii sunt portile raiului si iadului” is a quote from Theodore Roszak which translates to “The eyes are the gates of heaven and hell.” A fitting quote for the song to follow.
Speaking on the video, frontman Tom Rees said:
The video for ‘Hollywood Actors’ is one of my favourites I think, just because it’s led by a simple idea. I hope it all comes off as ironic enough, I really don’t want people thinking I loved that Joker movie, I thought it was awful, the idea behind that part of the video was all based around everyone’s reaction to the fact that Phoenix improvised that dancing scene, as if dancing isn’t a spontaneous effort anyway, good or bad. It tied in nicely with the lyrical content of the song, personally I think the type of attitude expressed in the song outlines why that film was considered a success, but I’m not a film critic anyway, what the hell am I talking about!
