BORG Debuts New Single ‘Mission Impossible’
In a song that tactfully spans generations from retro jazz inflections to futuristic synths, Borg channels all of her energy into her latest single, Mission Impossible.

With Borg’s newest release, Mission Impossible, she sets herself apart from the standard synth-pop fare. A thumping percussion line boldly complements the jazzy lilt in the Swede’s voice. The booming chorus not only hooks you with the addicting line “to get me to love you is fucking mission impossible”, but also with the twinkling synth, which draws you into the calculated chaos. While synth is commonplace in current pop music, the way that Borg utilizes it in Mission Impossible is what pushes her to an elite level. Arpeggiated and confident, the synths turn this punchy, rhythmic number into a song fit for a science fiction future.
Regarding the song, Borg said:
It’s a song about dreadful indecisiveness. About a spring of going back and forth, only to realize that as autumn comes you’re still in the same place. I find my stories to find energy in that clash of sweet and dreadful, and I think it reflects on the sound.
