Welsh-Australian songwriter Sonny Winnebago returns with his third single Little Sun, a nostalgic, wanderlust driven track that will have you feeling optimistic about all that is to come. Gently strummed guitars are joined by the rich tones of the mellotron and clarinet to bring warmth to the music and create a velvety sound. Despite some of the bleary-eyed lyricism that addresses the wearying troubles that can be thrown at us, Sonny delivers a message of perseverance and you will finish on a note of affirmation, ready to tackle on whatever will come your way.

Speaking on the track, Sonny divulges:

I wrote ‘Little Sun’ as an act of surrender – I had to admit to myself that I’m a headless chicken! It felt really good to lay it all out. All my desperation to do better & be better in life caught up in this dark, introspective moment. I was living in London & working in a coffee shop. I felt quite powerless – having no plans for the future. It all kind of felt like a time bomb. I wanted to get away from it all – to live in a garden, or the sea! I had this big realisation that we’re all winging it, all the time, haha. How can you prepare for the future when you don’t know what it’s going to look like? Many of our anxieties come from the fact that we project our subconscious into something that doesn’t and will never exist. Writing ‘Little Sun’ really helped to take the pressure off ‘finding my way’ in life. I allowed myself to express those thoughts and feelings, and felt better because of it.
