CIRCA WAVES Share Music Video for ‘Lemonade’ feat. Alfie Templeman
Circa Wave have dropped 60s-inspired video to complement their latest single Lemonade featuring Alfie Templeman.

Entering into a new era, Circa Waves are stepping away from the black and white aesthetics of their latest album Sad Happy by creating a retro fuelled video filled with bold block colour, vintage TVs and bright suits. Featuring Alfie Templeman, Lemonade is a track built on hope and happiness, the way each room is drenched in striking colours instantly lifts the mood and helps to capture the overall feeling of the track itself. In the video, a mysterious black goo seemed to ooze out of walls, telephones, TVs and taps which may suggest a darker tinge to the song’s surrounding themes of feeling lost as the lyric “We’re all drinking lemonade / We thought we’d be doing something great by now” may suggest.
Although this song has a slightly lower tempo than some of the previous singles offered up by the indie quartet, it’s a chilled, straightforward tune that’s perfect for early mornings, late nights and anything else in between.
Speaking about the track, frontman Kieran Shudall shares:
After working with Bousher & Gee on the ‘Jacqueline’ and ‘Sad Happy’ videos, it was clear they were mad in the most brilliant of ways, so it was a no brainer to make another music video with them. Theo pitched us the idea of painting a house mad colours and having black goo seep out of the walls, TVs and taps while we all stood around in expensive suits. I said, “Theo, you had me at goo”.
