A struggle with anxiety is faced in Where Did The Time Go, the latest single from Jenny Kern.

Canada-born, Brooklyn-based Jenny Kern first debuted with her dream-pop sound in 2019, and has become a quick-rising star; gaining under 17,000 monthly listeners just in the last two years. Over this time, Kern has put out a handful of singles, toured Europe, and been recognised by established music outlets. Her third single of 2021, Where Did The Time Go, has just been released.

Inspired by anxiety, and the constant struggle those with it face, Where Did The Time Go is an emotive piece that uses soft synths and raw vocals to question why everything feels so hopeless. Beautiful harmonising of Kern’s voice adds an extra dimension to the single, giving it a very emphatic feel. It’s pop music, but done with real emotion, and it’s lovely.
