FRANK CARTER AND THE RATTLESNAKES Unveil “Wild Flowers” Video

The band reveals new music video directed by Turner prize nominated artist Jake Chapman.

The fiery single Wild Flowers is taken from Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes sophomore full-length, Modern Ruin, out later this month.

Critically acclaimed artist Jake Chapman has taken charge of creating visuals for the ardent song. The story unfolds in a fast pace as we’re being thrown into the vortex of flying images.

The clip accompanies the track vividly, exposing Carter‘s profound lyrical side. Perhaps, all about daisies and stars at first listen, the track shapes a sorrowful reality as he bursts into “And if this isn’t love don’t show me the truth”, what leads to an inevitable end because “The Lovers are dead / The Lovers are cursed”.

Jake Chapman comments:

The harsh reality of slipping from YBA to OAP makes an invitation from Mr Frank Carter to do a video seem like turbo-charging my impending free bus pass… I was, of course, very sincerely honoured to be asked.

Frank Carter says of the collaboration:

Jake Chapman is one of my favourite artists of all time. Somehow in this mad world we also became quite good friends. Foolishly I jeopardised all of that by asking him to make us a music video for our song ‘Wild Flowers’.

Luckily for me, Jake is further into the abyss of madness than I am and he has made something completely captivating and utterly insane… but best of all, we are still friends! Thanks Jake x

Modern Ruin is set for release on January 20th via International Death Cult / Kobalt Label Services.

The band will be joining Biffy Clyro on tour later this month, followed by their own headline shows in March.
