TEMPLES Tease Us with New Material
The band plays an intimate show ahead of the release of their second record.
Kettering psych-rockers Temples took to the stage at Rough Trade East for an intimate in-store gig this Monday to preview their forthcoming sophomore album, Volcano, and frankly, it sounded amazing.
Making it clear this evening is all about what’s to come as Temples kick off with Volcano’s first single Certainty. The set consists of all new songs, and Certainty is followed by Roman God-Like Man, I Wanna Be Your Mirror, Born Into The Sunset, Mystery Of Pop and Open Air, before rounding the surreal dream-set with single, Strange Or Be Forgotten.
Temples are certainly not forgotten, and the demand for an encore is so strong that Bagshaw and the others re-enter for a prolonged performance of Mesmerise from their debut, Sun Structures.
As the reverb fades out, all we can do is wait for Volcano, which is due to be released March 3rd via Heavenly Recordings.
