CLUB KURU Share New Cut ‘Giving In’

The British five piece announces new EP, Waiting At The Corner.

Starting out as Laurie Erskine’s solo project the band soon expanded to the current five piece in search for the right melodic picture. Joining forces with Graham Godfrey (co-producer and drummer), Fergus Ireland (bass), Laurence Hammerton (guitar) and Jess Berry (synths/BVs), in 2016 they began their journey as a songwriting and production tour de force.

We really wanted to do everything ourselves. It was a case of laying it all out on the table and seeing what worked.

Their recent single Giving In is a spacy haze of soaring instrumentation and chill vibes accompanying Erskine’s vocals. The subtle escalation of the melody sees it mount to new heights, sampling the ethereal daze the Club Kuru have to offer.
