BEACH FOSSILS to Return ‘This Year’ with New Album
Beach Fossils are back, and they’ve been missed.

The best news this week: Beach Fossils return with new album Somersault set to be released in June!
The Brooklyn outfit has laid low for a while now, it is almost four years since their last record Clash The Truth, and it truly is refreshing seeing them luring with new material at last.
This Year is a dreamy guitar-lead tune, set to open the record and smoothens you into Somersault. It’s emphasising Beach Fossils distinctively charming melancholia through hazy layers and a subtle but firm rhythm. With a tune feeling like a little escape on a busy day, Beach Fossils are more than welcome back.
Frontman Dustin Payseur says:
‘This Year’ is about facing mistakes you’ve made, aiming to work on it and better yourself, but ending up making the same mistakes again. It’s kind of an endless loop. People always aim to make New Year’s resolutions, get a fresh start, but ultimately fall back into these old bad habits.
Somersault evokes a feeling of blooming. Exploring new musical territory and showcasing refined songwriting, the album captures glimpses of life in New York grounded in personal experience.
