PUREST Unveil Debut Single ‘Always’
Sheffield outfit to release debut single this month.

Channelling strong Jesus and Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine vibes, the Sheffield newcomers surface with shoegazing net of their debut single.
Wrapped around woozy guitars and stern percussion, Always is a firm introduction to the band’s soundscape. The fading vocal layers compliment the soaring melodies, all captured in a bubble of fluid sonics. To accompany the track PUREST unveil black & white visuals which create hazy imagery that parallels with the distorted sound.
Singer James Rollings says of the track:
The song explores an inflated sense of self, in an increasingly self-involved world. It’s about the inability to let egotistical habits go, and how it impacts emotionally.
Recorded in Manchester’s Eve Studios and produced by Gethin Pearson (The Enemy, Jaws, Clay), Always will be available on March 31st via Gold Tooth Records.
