The Swedish pop singer delves into the modern with her most recent single Spun.

Spun is a club tune that features Ängie‘s vocals constantly trying to push through a compact web of electronic noise, creating a more chaotic than compelling impression.

The production is definitely interesting with a lot of elements playing up against each other. Yet Ängie fails to flourish within her own track, losing grip against the staccato completion of her melody.

Coming from a great pop tradition, there’s still a lot of space for Ängie to reach her full potential. Spun is definitely catchy, yet the production and vocal combined is a tad too much.

The singer will take to Hoxton Bar & Kitchen for her first ever show in London on the 5th of April.
