TOM ODELL shares music video for new song Wrong Crowd and announces second album.

Finally! It feels like it’s been ages! Three years since debut Long Way Down, to be precise. But I guess time is relative. Feels like ages to me. Good he’s back though.

Tom Odell has dropped new music video for the track Wrong Crowd which will land on his second album with the same title.

The clip, directed by George Belfield, was shot in South Africa and it teases us with a glimpse of another song Constellations. You can watch it below.

The songwriter worked with Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Kasabian) on this record and here’s what he had to say about it.

I wanted the songs to sound big and dramatic; big strings and melodies emphasizing the songs further – rich in musicality and holding nothing back. The album follows a narrative of a man held at ransom by his childhood, yearning for it, yearning for nature – a desire for innocence in this perverse world in which he now lives. It’s a fictional story but the emotions and feelings are obviously ones I have felt – though the stories are elaborated and exaggerated. I wanted to create a world with a heightened sense of reality.

Wrong Crowd is set for release on June 10 via Columbia Records with tracklisting as follows:

Tom Odell will also play a few intimate shows this month with two dates in May but tickets will be available via a lottery on DICE app.
