The LA band makes a return to London.

I have never heard of Starcrawler… and therefore have no idea what to expect as I enter the Boston Music Room in North London.

The small room is packed, and the crowd are almost euphoric as the band walk out onto the stage. It’s an immediate throwback to 70s, a retro-style London pub hosting a band donning metallic jumpsuits and plenty of tassels.

It’s definitely a unique performance, disturbing even, if you’re not familiar with the band. At one point, the lead singer Arrow de Wilde is purposefully dribbling – certainly something I’ve not seen at a gig before. But her interaction with the audience is second to none, and they love it.

Starcrawler are a sure fire hit with the crowd at Boston Music Room, and, though it may not be for everyone, you can’t fault them for a stellar performance.
