Without Sin is the second song to be revealed from the band’s forthcoming Ensom EP.

After recently releasing their single Pale, Parting Gift have unveiled their newest track Without Sin, off their forthcoming EP Ensom, set to be released on March 22nd via Fearless Records.

The Manchester band has called it their “most cherished creation” and they’re not wrong. With the upcoming release of their debut EP, they are entering a new era, including a European tour with Dream State and Blood Youth. 

Without Sin is more melody driven, an interesting chord progression mixed with synths in the background. The lyrics sound like a distant echo, and focus on the darkness of life. Or as vocalist Zac Vernon puts it: “It’s a reminder that, in spite of the darkness, it is always worth not giving in.”

The basis of the entire EP is the feeling of a cold, dark entity making one unable to feel anything. The darkest of dreams and visions, delusions. It is walking the thin line between what is real and what is in your mind. It is the obsession by what is seemingly out of one’s control. A sort of coping strategy for the pain it causes.

We’re fascinated to see what the rest of the EP has to bring with a subject like this.
