Live: JAWS // Electric Ballroom, London
Following the release of their third album, The Ceiling, JAWS took to the stage at Electric Ballroom for a thrilling performance.
On record JAWS‘ music is full of character but live it really comes to life. Emitting angst and vibrancy, the band brings a brilliant indie pop dynamic to the stage. With an interesting mix of indie vocals and heavy gritty guitar, they demand your attention. Visually everything is very simple, other than the chaotic light show going on behind them, unfortunately making it rather difficult to see the band which is a shame.
With its firecracker fuzz and flickering neon brightness, JAWS deliver an explosive sound. Their sonic diversity brings an interesting variety of people, young teens to men in suits, indie fans to rock fans which is nice to have everyone coming together moshing to the same band. Every song JAWS perform carries something different, from the varying sound of the guitar to the groovy bass lines and thumping drum beat they definitely keep things interesting. Overall, JAWS brought a strong set to London’s Electric Ballroom and are worth catching live.
