The Darling Buds are no more. But not to worry my darlings, the boys are not yet gone. No, not at all, not even close. Just slightly re-grouped.

They go by the name Counterfeit now. The London trio – you might’ve already heard about the lead singer Jamie Campbell Bower (yep, that weird dude from the City of Bones, Twilight or Harry Potter). Well, as you find out below he’s really good at music. They all are. Joined by Roland Johnson and Tristan Marmont they make quite a fantastic team.

I have seen The Darling Buds performing live in the past and I’m quite familiar with their previous work, I’ve even got a chance to meet the guys (really cool lads!) so I knew what to expect. Or at least I thought I did. But oh how was I wrong! This new track definitely exceeded my expectations. And if the rest of the new material is as brilliant as this.. then can I please have it already?

We are Counterfeit. We’re super excited to share our first track with you all. We have put blood sweat and tears into making this record and we hope you like it. This is culmination of months of hard work and it means everything to us that we finally get to put it out there. This is the most personal thing I have ever put out or shown anyone. Our entire record consists of songs written from the heart and our own experience. There are no punches pulled for us. We are Counterfeit. Together We Are Stronger.
