SLAVES New Music Video // “People That You Meet”
SLAVES share new music video for the track People That You Meet.
Raucous Kent duo teamed up with Wolf Alice’s very own Joel Amey for this next cut, People That You Meet, while spending some time together in the USA.
The latest offering follows the songs Spit It Out and Take Control, all to be taken from Slaves‘ upcoming second record, Take Control, out later this month.
The video is as edgy and raw as the track itself. Self shot and totally DIY it presents a BBQ party where the band swipe their musical instruments for a hairdresser’s equipment.
Says Laurie of the video, exclusively to Red Bull:
Our lighting guy Francis hates getting his hair cut, so naturally we offered to do it for him at our Slaves family BBQ. The following video is what happened. Thanks Francis, thanks everyone.
The sophomore album Take Control was recorded at Jackson Browne’s studio in Santa Monica, California, with Beastie Boys’ Mike D on production duties, and will be out on September 30th via Virgin EMI Records.
Slaves have still a few dates of their Back In The Van tour to play this month. But not to worry, the band will embark on an extensive European tour later this year. More details below.
