SECRET COMPANY Reveal Another Secret
The Chelmsford four-piece SECRET COMPANY unveils new video for the track Lightning Parade.
New single, Lightning Parade, is to be taken from the band’s debut album The World Lit Up And Filled With Colour, out next year.
The tune opens with crawling guitar and singer, Scott Revell’s mourning voice. Innocent for now, but Lightning Parade is soon to grow as it increasingly intensifies with drums kicking in. A sinister feel, backed by Revell’s words “all I ever do is think about it”.
The prolonged growth of the track plays to Secret Company’s advantage as it gives space to hear each element in it’s entirety. Showing diversity as they lead into a climax of relentless energy, Secret Company have definitely done an interesting and wholeheartedly effort, which clearly raises the bar for their forthcoming debut.
The video for Lightning Parade is set in a real-time live format. Secret Company play out the tune whilst drenched in smoke, surrounding everything in a haze of mellow blues and reds.
As the music intensifies with aggressive guitar ploughing through we’re left in the dark, stoplights flashing up the live scene like lightning, entirely in a sync with the clenching climax of the tune before we fade out into the colours.
Lead singer and guitarist, Scott Revell shares his thoughts on this new single;
‘Lightning Parade’ is about having an underlying feeling about someone, a gut truth that just won’t go away. It’s meant not in a positive light of lovingly thinking about someone but more of a haunting ‘something isn’t right here’ kind of way. You can pretend that feeling doesn’t exist, try and put it to the back of your mind, but it’ll still be there and the more that you become aware of it the stronger it becomes and the more you notice it the more intense it gets.
The single Lightning Parade impacts on December 23rd. As for their debut album, The World Lit Up And Filled With Colour, it is set to be released on March 10th next spring via SO Recordings.
