LITTLE COMETS New Video Is Not a ‘Common Thing’
New album Worhead to be released next month.

Following up the release of their single, Common Things, Little Comets release a video equally as bizarre as the tune.
The pop-reggae tune’s unusual structure has nothing on the video except to accompany it. Featuring a live take one a beach, fragmented with clips of Rubik’s Cubes, sock dolls making out and other generally disturbing and surrealistic things, the video is more distracting from the tune than enchanting.
One thing is certain, there is nothing common about this video.
Rob Coles, lead vocals and guitar, has this to say about the tune:
I suppose it is semi-autographical up to a point as I am quite a simple person and take more from the gaps than the need to fill them… Me and Mickey (Coles) (as usual) wrote this one in his garage after Mickey had been playing a really obscure riff, which we adapted for the chorus melody. The verses came later as the need for a narrative became apparent.
I think what helped is that the chorus line paints a real picture of what the verses should be about. It was just a case of filling in the bits of the story: which fed from the idea of a couple being satisfied with just the simple things.
Worhead is Little Comets’ fourth studio album and is out March 10th via The Smallest Label.
