Stranger Than Forgettable – New Video from Temples

The Kettering group takes on the task as portrait photographers in new art video for Strange Or Be Forgotten.

With sophomore album Volcano right around the corner, Temples tease with another cut, this time in the form of a peculiar video for the album closer. Strange Or Be Forgotten is a majestic take on psychedelica. The tune possesses an incredibly dreamy soundscape shaped by descending synth-lines and frontman James Bagshaw’s idiosyncratic vocals.

The ingenious melody demonstrates Temples‘ subtle transitions, which is one of the things that make them stand out as a band. Strange Or Be Forgotten is another psychedelic delicate dream, and if you weren’t excited for their album yet, you definitely should check out this cut.

Questioning the mere concepts of art, the video follows the obscure traits of slight absurdity and cinematic feel that the release projects. The clip features a portrait session – capturing a range of characters with the band themselves safe set behind the camera.

Bagshaw comments that:

Expression comes in many forms, and capturing expression is as important as the expression itself. Whether something is ordinary or extraordinary! Embracing an expressive output is what ‘Strange Or Be Forgotten’ delves into.

Bassist Thomas Walmsley extends:

Art is always on trial, so we wanted to interrogate some of the finest performing artists around. Playing the role of society, despondent and disinterested, we try and capture the uncapturable – the human spirit.

Volcano will be out on March 3rd via Heavenly Recordings.

To mark the release the band will embark on their headline tour across Europe.
