HIPPO CAMPUS Unveil Live Video for ‘Simple Season’
Debut album landmark out now.
Minnesota four-piece has released brand new clip for their sun-soaked track simple season as well as announced they’ll be coming back to Europe for a string of Autumn tour dates.
Despite a young age, Hippo Campus add a nostalgic infusion to almost every track. Built around the joyous guitars and magnetic vocal harmonies, simple season will have your hips sway bashfully from the very first note. The tune is a nod towards friendship and simplicity of all things youthful, and it’s perfect to soundtrack the upcoming summery long days and nights.
Guitarist Nathan Stocker explains:
milking our youth for all its worth. it’s the photos on your bedroom wall from that disposable camera you picked up for the summer. that night when the moon was full. flying kites the day after. friends we made and the friends that made us. nothing to do and all day to do it. nowhere to go and all day to get there. sittin’ around in the simplicity of it all belonging to us.
Filmed live by collaborator Dan Huiting, the video was shot back at home after a sold out leg of the band’s UK tour earlier this year. Watch it below!
Hippo Campus‘ debut album landmark is available now on Transgressive Records. A few weeks ago we caught up with the guys to talk about it and more, and you can check it out here.
Luckily, the band won’t keep us waiting too long as new live dates for Autumn have been announced. Don’t miss them this time around!
