PALACE Unveil New Video for ‘Bitter’

The band to embark on an extensive UK headline tour in April.

If you are thinking this song sounds familiar, you wouldn’t be wrong. This track was on their first release, Lost In The Night in 2014, but has since had a bit of a nip and tuck, and come back stronger and better than ever.

Something straight out of the Tate Modern, the black and white clip is partnered beautifully with one of many stand out tracks from Palace‘s latest album, So Long Forever, released in November last year. Rich in Leo Wyndham’s silky vocals and the guitars that carry such greater volume only give the remastered version of the song justice.

Vocalist says of the track:

‘Bitter’ is a song about jealousy and what that all consuming feeling can be like. It looks at the destructive nature of jealousy and how poisonous it can be.

Artist and designer Joe McCrae‘s film compliments the song and likewise to the film.

Director explains:

The video is set within an abstracted space using only minimal props and with a focus on the figure. This keeps the atmosphere very personal and helps visualise this subjective experience. The audience is allowed a privileged and intimate perspective; to see what goes on outside, and under the veil. The mood of the footage and its two stranded narrative imitates the movement of the song and its meaning.

Bitter will impact on April 24th on Fiction Records.

Palace are over in Europe annihilating it with the guys from ISLAND at the moment, but are coming back to the UK for an epic tour in April.
