FIRST HATE Share Video for ‘The One’
The Copenhagen duo, First Hate, unveils The One, the second cut from their anticipated debut, A Prayer For The Unemployed.

The duo combines the darker flows of Scandi-noire with light-hearted electro in an obscure concoction of synth-work and palpable beats. Anton Falck’s deep repertoire captures the thoughtfulness in the lyrics, like every line is throughout considered before melodically uttered. There are also moments in the song where a deeper sense of reflection comes through as mellow stands of spoken words. Though it evokes a seriousness, First Hate know how to balance. Bringing in harmonica and a sparkly undertone, they still keep The One at a level of fun. Something to dance to.
The visuals that accompany the single also show this. Directed by Falck, the video is simple but euphoric. Showing the duo dancing in faded but coloured light, it alludes to a club setting more than anything.
First Hate’s debut album A Prayer For The Unemployed is out May 12th via Echo.
